This biennial Award has always boasted an exceptional jury which includes directors of prestigious museums such as Steven D. Lavine (president of the California Institute of the Arts), Lorand Hegyi (former director of the Museum Moderner Kunst Stiftung Ludwig Wien), Bruno Corà (artistic director of the Museo Pecci) and Omar Calabrese (former president of Santa Maria della Scala); influential names from the cultural press like Anna Detheridge of "Il Sole 24 ore", Alessandra Mammì of "L'Espresso" and Umberto Allemandi of "Il Giornale dell'Arte"; art market experts like Stefania Aluigi, Maurizio Mazzotti and the collectors Paola and Marino Golinelli; as well as Amnon Barzel (artistic director of the Targetti Art Light Collection) and Paolo Targetti (President of Targetti Sankey SPA).
The winners of the first two editions of the Award (Shinji Yamamoto, Attilio Tono, Ferrario Freres, Fabrizio Rivola, Clara Luiselli, Nicola Evangelisti, Il Fondo, Carlo Nonnis, Nicola Toffolini, Carlo Bernardini, Patrizio Travagli and Federico Biancalani), are joined in 2004 by Ely Rozenberg, Brian Ramsussen, Simon Crilley & Salvo Bonura, Kwok Wai Lau and Elisa Sonato, whose works have become part of the collection and relevant exhibition program. |
